Discarding the Apollo Orb umbrella modifier, I put the 600EX flash on a pistol grip and velcro’d a Lumodi 14″ Beauty Dish to it — a set-up I call the Dish Gun. This handheld solution lets me place gorgeous light anywhere on my subject, and the proximity helps overpower ambient light.
